We are pleased to invite you to TechTuesday, a networking event held on the first Tuesday of every month for our local high-tech community.

If you register, please make your best effort to attend. The popularity of the Tech Tuesday event means those who register and do not show up, take a seat away from those who would like to attend. Please cancel your ticket, through Lu.ma, if you are unable to make the event after registering.

In recognition of Earth Day (April 22, 2026), we are pleased to welcome Corey Ellis, CEO and Founder of Growcer, for a timely and thought-provoking conversation on the future of local food. Growcer is helping communities grow and store fresh, local food year-round through its modular vertical farming and storage systems, redefining how and where food can be produced.

In a world shaped by geopolitical instability, climate change, and supply chain disruption, access to reliable, locally grown food is no longer a given, it is a strategic priority. Across Canada and globally, communities are rethinking how food is produced, distributed and sustained.

Growcer is at the forefront of this shift.

By enabling northern, remote and underserved communities to grow their own food year-round, while building a scalable, Canadian-made agricultural platform, Growcer is redefining what resilient food systems can look like, sustainable, adaptable, and built to thrive in both extreme climates and dense urban environments.

Join Corey in conversation with Veronica Farmer as they explore:

  • What food security really looks like in Canada today

  • Why Growcer was founded and what makes its model unique

  • The impact on communities when local food production becomes possible

  • Building and scaling a purpose-driven company from Ottawa

  • What comes next, and what Canada needs to invest in to support sustainable, scalable food systems.

This conversation will resonate with those thinking about resilience, sustainability, and building impactful solutions in an increasingly complex world.
