As part of our mission to support the next generation of high-growth businesses, Alacrity UK was proud to co-host NxtGen AI, a practical, hands-on AI summit designed to help businesses move beyond the hype and start applying artificial intelligence in meaningful ways.

Hosted at the ICC Wales, the event welcomed more than 260 business leaders, entrepreneurs, startups and SMEs from across Wales for a day of expert-led workshops focused on real-world application. Shaped by conversations with business owners, NxtGen AI was created to address a common challenge: while many organizations recognize the importance of AI, they often don’t know where to start or how to implement it effectively.

Throughout the day, attendees explored practical uses of AI across marketing, finance, operations, business planning and workflow automation, hearing directly from organizations already using the technology to improve productivity, efficiency and business performance. The emphasis was on providing actionable insights, practical skills and the confidence to begin adopting AI immediately.

The success of NxtGen AI reflects Alacrity UK’s commitment to strengthening Wales’ innovation ecosystem by connecting businesses with the knowledge, networks and opportunities they need to grow. With Newport continuing to establish itself as a hub for technology and innovation, events like NxtGen AI play an important role in ensuring Welsh businesses are equipped to embrace the opportunities of emerging technologies and remain competitive in an evolving economy.

The platform analyzes a company’s website, content, technical readiness, competitors, and prompt visibility to provide clear, actionable recommendations. These insights help businesses improve their AI discoverability, strengthen their credibility, and increase the chances of being surfaced when potential customers ask buying-related questions.

Tadash

Tadash makes energy audits more impactful. Today, audits are treated as a tick-box exercise, done manually, filed, forgotten. We build the software that automates that, and we capture the valuable data that’s currently lost in the process. Then we use that data to become the underwriting layer for energy and green investments.

We’re starting with UK ESOS Lead Assessors, the ~300 practitioners carrying compliance for over 10,000 qualifying organizations through Phase 4. From there, we scale into the wider energy audit category.

Company Spotlight: Integrevise

Integrevise is an AI-powered EdTech startup transforming how universities assess student learning. Rather than relying on unreliable AI detection tools, its platform verifies whether students genuinely understand their work through AI-led assessment conversations.

Since joining the Alacrity Foundation UK incubator, the team has made significant progress, with live pilots at Cardiff University and Lindenwood University in the US, the publication of peer-reviewed research validating its approach, and presentations to hundreds of education professionals.

Most recently, Integrevise was named Startup of the Year at Digital Universities UK 2026, further recognizing its innovative approach to assessment in the age of AI.

As the company prepares to scale across the UK and international higher education markets, the team is seeking introductions to contacts within Canadian universities and professional qualification providers to support its next phase of growth.
