As President & CEO of thinkRF, Tarek Helaly is leading the company’s next phase of global growth, building on more than 30 years of experience in wireless technologies, spectrum intelligence, and executive leadership. Since joining thinkRF in 2013, Tarek has held senior leadership roles across engineering, product management, and operations before taking over as President in 2023.

Tarek’s leadership has transformed thinkRF into a stronger, more agile organization with an expanded international presence. Under his direction, the company has significantly accelerated revenue growth, strengthened profitability, launched a wave of innovative products, and expanded into new markets across North America, the Middle East, Latin America, and Sub-Saharan Africa. His focus on aligning innovation with customer needs, operational excellence, and disciplined execution has positioned thinkRF for sustained long-term success.

With a career spanning defence, telecommunications, and mission-critical technologies, Tarek brings a unique combination of deep technical expertise and commercial leadership. Before joining thinkRF, he led advanced R&D programs in wireless communications and signal processing for complex defence and security applications — the world where signals intelligence has long been an operational discipline. Bringing that intelligence mindset to civilian markets, as wireless growth brought new demands and new threats, became the foundation of what thinkRF today calls spectrum intelligence. He is known for building high-performing teams, driving strategic transformation, and translating innovation into real-world impact.

Tarek holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and an Executive MBA. Whether working with customers, partners, employees, or investors, he is committed to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement while advancing thinkRF’s mission to deliver industry-leading spectrum intelligence solutions around the world.
